A promo posted on social media has the lifespan of a scroll. On ListGOPH there are three ways to say something to customers, each pinned to your listing rather than to a timeline, and one of them puts your offer on a page where people in Cebu go looking for deals.

Which one do you need?

UseForWhere it shows
Pinned announcementNews: holiday hours, a new branch, a menu change, "we are closed for renovation until Friday"The top of your listing page, until it expires or you remove it
PromoAn offer anyone can take: 20% off on Mondays, buy one take one, free delivery this monthYour listing, the site-wide Promos page, and the promos feed
VoucherAn offer that needs a code at the counter: "Show CEBU10 for ₱100 off"Same as a promo, with the code displayed for the customer to bring

Pinned announcements

A title of up to 150 characters, a body of up to 2,000, and an optional end date. It appears at the top of your listing above the photos and the menu, so it is the first thing a visitor reads. Give it an end date and it disappears on its own the day after; leave the date empty for something permanent, such as "We accept GCash and Maya".

Announcements are for information. Do not use them for offers; that is what promos are for, and offers have a page of their own.

Promos and vouchers

Both are created from your listing's Promos tab and share the same fields:

  • Title, the headline: "Monday Madness 20% off all rice meals".
  • Value label, the short version a card can show: "20% off", "₱100 off", "Buy 1 Take 1".
  • Summary in one line, and details for the fine print of what is included.
  • Terms: minimum spend, dine-in only, not valid with other offers.
  • Code, required for a voucher so your counter has something to check, optional for a promo.
  • Start date, if the offer begins later, and an end date, which is required.

The end date is not optional because an offer without one would sit on the Promos page for ever. When it passes, the offer leaves the Promos page and your listing on its own. You never have to remember to take it down.

The Promos page

Every live promo and voucher from every published listing in Cebu is gathered on one page, listgoph.com/promos, where visitors search by keyword, filter by promos or vouchers, and browse by category. It also publishes as an RSS feed, so deal aggregators and readers pick offers up automatically. If your listing is unpublished, its offers leave the page with it.

This is the difference between a promo on your own page and a promo on ListGOPH: on your page, only people who already found you see it. On the Promos page, people who were looking for any deal find you.

Writing an offer that gets used

  1. Put the value first. "₱100 off" beats "Special September promotion".
  2. Make the code short and sayable. CEBU10, not SEPT2026PROMOX.
  3. State the catch in the terms, not the title. Customers forgive a minimum spend they were told about.
  4. End it. A deadline two weeks out gets more use than one two months out, and you can post another.
  5. Brief the counter. Everyone on shift should know the current code and what it gives. Print the offer next to the till.

Measuring it

Your visitor report shows whether views rose on the days the offer went live and where those visitors came from. If you use the POS, ring the discount on the sale so the sales report shows how many took it.

Which plan includes them

Pinned announcements are part of the Featured and Premium plans. Promos and vouchers are created from the listing's Promos tab on the same plans.
