Most people use a directory the way they use a phone book: find the number, leave. ListGOPH works that way without an account. With a free one, it starts remembering things for you, and the things you gather become pages other people can use.
Save a place
Every listing has a Save button. Tap it and the place goes into your Saved list under your profile, with its photo, rating and the Open Now badge. This is the quick bookmark: the lechon place a friend mentioned, the dentist you meant to call, the resort for someday.
Collections: saved places with a name
Saved is one long list. A collection is a list with a name and a purpose: "Date night in Banilad", "Where to take visiting relatives", "Coffee shops with real Wi-Fi". Create one from your profile, give it a name and a short description, and add listings to it from any listing page or from your Saved list.
- A collection is private until you switch it to public. Private ones are yours alone.
- A public collection gets its own address under your profile, such as listgoph.com/u/yourname/collections/date-night-in-banilad, which you can send to anyone. They do not need an account to read it.
- Remove or reorder places any time; the link stays the same.
For a barangay Facebook group admin, a hotel front desk or a local guide, a public collection is a recommendation list that never goes stale, because every place on it is a live listing with current hours and reviews.
Itineraries: a day, in order
A collection is a set. An itinerary is a sequence with a date: breakfast here, then the temple, then lunch, then the beach. Create one with a title and a date, add listings as stops, drag them into order, and you have a plan with a map.
- Every itinerary has a share link, so the whole barkada sees the same plan and nobody asks "where next" in the group chat.
- Stops are real listings, so each one carries its pin, phone number and hours. If the third stop is closed on Mondays, you find out while planning, not at the gate.
- Writers can embed an itinerary inside an article, which is how our travel guides show a day's route with its map.
Your public profile
Every account has a profile page at listgoph.com/u/yourname. It shows the stories you have published, your public collections, your recently saved places and your itineraries. It is a page about how you see Cebu, and you decide how much of it is public: private collections and your Saved list stay off it unless you choose otherwise.
Following and the bell
Follow people whose taste you trust, a food writer, a friend who knows the south, a photographer who finds the quiet beaches. The bell in the top bar lights up when:
- someone you follow publishes a new story,
- someone follows you,
- someone likes or comments on a story you wrote.
Your followers and the people you follow are listed on your profile, and you can unfollow at any time.
Stories
Anyone with an account can write a story, from a two-paragraph note about a carinderia to a full weekend itinerary with photos. Stories are reviewed before they appear, can be tagged to the listings they mention, and show up on the listings' own pages as well as on yours. The Articles section is where they all live.
Signing in without a password
If you would rather not remember another password, choose Email login on the sign-in page. You get either a six-digit code that is good for two minutes, or a link that signs you in with one tap and expires after use. Both come from ListGOPH to the email on your account.
A weekend in three steps
- Through the week, save anything that catches your eye.
- On Friday, turn the shortlist into an itinerary for Saturday, in order, and share the link with the group.
- Afterwards, move the winners into a public collection and leave a review on each, so the next person's Saturday is easier.
